Just thought I'd check in. Not doing great here lately. Been using again for about a month now. I thought I have this under control it just seems like the same old same old . Just wanted to check in, wish I had something better to share. Sorry for any typos's, I'm using my new Motorola xoom tablet and am still getting use to the touch screen. Hope everyone else is doing better than I am. Take care.

Hi Tyler
Hoping you can turn things around. I know about relapsing. Started this sobriety deal in late 1997 and its been an up and down ride...but it has gotten better over the past 6 years. So hang in there buddy.

Hello,
I've been lurking in this secular area for the past few days and learned a lot. I've been here before, abstained from alcohol for a few months and then "moderated" which I finally realized was me just doing a lot of of slipping and relapsing. Finishing up Day 4. I did almost nothing for my recovery last time other than read SR posts. It did help for a few months but when I stopped logging on, I started believing I didn't have a problem. I really believe diet, exercise and an acceptance that I can no longer drink will be key as well as logging on regularly. Thanks for all your informative posts. Very enlightening!

Good!
I think getting involved and sharing your feelings (which makes a person think harder and makes those feelings somehow more 'concrete') is one of the most important aspects of SR.
In a week maybe you can work your way up to three posts a day

Hi raindancer11
In early recovery I found having some knowledge about recovery tools helps. SMART Recovery offers those for the secular person.
Have a look if you like:

Murray, yes, participating does help me feel that my problem is real and I have a sense of relief knowing that I don't have to live that way anymore.
Thanks for the links, Zencat. I'm reading the ones about irrational thinking.

Hey guys, still around, still sober, still unemployed, still OK. I don't seem to have as much time for the computer now that I am unemployed. Hmmmm, the two facts could be related??? Nah couldn't be, nothing is ever my fault
I hope you are all well. (Or should I say y'all just to give Murray something to laugh and point at, eh?)

Me too. Well, not there with you of course, but here as in all the way up and over here compared to you way down and across over there, which for our Aussie friends would be way up there...unless that's Northern Hemisphere-ism and they actually consider themselves as on top of the world and they're looking down at us on the bottom.
Good to hear from you again
