I will not drink/drug today because (insert your reason)
Hahaha Luckily I wasn't completely focused on it, but for the effort devoted to it, it was worth it.
My job ends next Friday, a fact my boss apparently wasn't going to mention to me. And now she expects me to work on Sunday. I'm undecided whether that will actually happen.

LOL I might pull a JetBlu on her. Too bad the office doesn't have inflatable emergency exits! Hahaha After working retail/customer service jobs for about 10 years, I think that flight attendant is basically a folk hero.
Honestly, I think it would be pretty rude to my coworkers to stick them with the extra work, and if I decide to go in that would be the deciding factor. It's not their fault my boss (who up until this has been one of the better bosses I've worked for) has decided to be a jerk.

I will not drink/drug today because...
...I like wakening up in the morning without that dreadful warmed over death feeling.
I will not drink today because on the way home three people sat down next to me on the subway, and they were all HAMMERED. Staggering, slurring, reeking of cigarettes. I was seriously sitting there in fear one of them was going to vomit on me. It was an excellent reminder of why I never want to be that drunk again.
Also, THREE WEEKS SOBER TOMORROW!
Also, THREE WEEKS SOBER TOMORROW!
... because after 8 straight days of weather over 100 degrees (5 of them over 105 degrees, and two of those set records) we have finally gotten a reprieve! I can open my door again and let in some air! And of course if I'm drinking I'd get all reclusive and not want to open the door.
