That is great news about your friend gneiss. Thanks for sharing. I'm doing well today, avoiding the flying pieces of brown fluff that kick in my allergies.

Wall cloud!

Spent my evening dodging tornadoes. We had one touch down a couple miles away, but it was rain wrapped so couldn't see it. And then one formed directly above where I was, I could look up into the center of it, but it never touched down. But the only damage done was a few downed trees and some minor associated roof damage. Sure was fun though!

And after the storm passed and I was able to leave the tornado shelter I went and found some very nice clouds to take pictures of:

And then came home to find the compressor had gone out on my refrigerator. Hurry up, repair guys!

Thanks Alera. It is good news, I keep fighting to be this guy's friend and it's not been easy. I'm glad he's taking a step forward.

gneiss, that's so cool! (although dodging tornados...man, I'd so be crapping my pants...and I'd be all out there with my camera)

I start my new job this morning. I'm nervous.

Bam, let us know how the first day goes! I'll bet you do just fine.

I'm waiting for a friend to show up, and can't get in touch with him to see if he's on his way or what. I hate waiting.

Just lost a friend of mine. She was in hospice, but I didn't expect her to go quite yet. A week ago she was up at her computer for short periods of time, then Friday took a bad turn for the worse.

One year, give or take. I don't keep exact track but judging from my paycheck and the time of the season it's been about a year.

I don't know what to say. Can I have a boyfriend yet? LOL

So sorry to hear this Windy. My thoughts are with you, him and the rest of your family.

I have a great aunt in hospice right now. She has been Hospice Stage 3 for almost a year. When she entered her doctor said her case was so advanced he had already written up her death certificate. Now after several times of doing this, he has stopped writing them. Sadly, she is still weak and terminal. Any day she could die. However, at over one hundred years of age, she is happy to get up to read her newspaper before going down and resting for the rest of the day. Some days I think it will take a newspaper strike before she will be ready to pass on. ;-)

Been having an extremely stressful time the last two weeks with our landlady. I swear it seems that my magnetic field pulls in the wackos sometimes. She's a real drama queen who put me in her radar. Suddenly she isn't too happy with me for a totally dumb reason. Even my step-mother, who really doesn't like me, thinks my landlady is looking for trouble.

So today, after watching the Celebrity Apprentice finale for a second time, I thought I'd give Bret Michael's Rock of Love for some good laughs. I've never seen that show but it sounds like a laugh a minute.

Sorry to read this Bam.

I watched two episodes of Rock of Love last night. Seeing Tif-fan-ey so drunk that she was kicked off was just a reminder why I don't do that anymore.

Now off to watch some more episodes once I finish "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" on Hulu. If you haven't seen that movie and are interested in religion vs. society type films you may want to catch it. I've seen it several times and read the book as well. The book was written by a sociologist and although I don't agree with a lot of her opinions, she sure made me spend a lot of time thinking!

I fast forwarded past the exorcism scenes. I can do that this time since I'm not in the theater. However, as someone that is totally interested in mind over matter I wanted to see it again. The book goes in a lot more detail on the sociological side, obviously, than the movie but I still found it interesting. The trailers made it look like The Exorcist Part V but its really more of a court room trial type of film.

Now I'm watching a film on The Weathermen of the late '60s to mid '70s. Its interesting to hear some of the members discuss how immature they were coming out of college, while others discuss their beliefs as if the Vietnam War excused their violent actions.

Once I'm done with that film, I have Dr. Strangelove and The Naked Gun 2 1/2 (yeah its dumb but funny as hell) lined up. Can you tell Hulu is my friend now that Celebrity Apprentice is over?
