I think Etta James or any of the old jazz masters. I have a CD of Trane. I prefer old jazz to new jazz. Seems so much more real and original.

Dude, DK LOL. Sorry, I didn't realize, I may believe in God but I don't necessarily follow him in recovery. My bad, man. :P
Doesn't matter, I still like the song.

Simple Kind of Life by No Doubt... someone mentioned it a ways back.... good song for me, too. Especially "Now all those simple things are simply too complicated for my life, And how'd I get so faithful to my freedom? A selfish kind of life..."

Silver Spring by Fleetwood Mac. They played it at the concert I went to tonight and I cried.

Cry Lonely, Leave Me Alone, and Sick & Tired, 17, The Years, and numerous others by Cross Canadian Ragweed

Leave and Unwell by Matchbox 20

And favorite song of all-time Drops of Jupiter by Train.

I was introduced to this song by a dear friend the year before he started abusing drugs. It is on my list of songs to listen to when I need a healthy cry. Sadly, my friend died a year ago from complications due to his abuse.
Alphaville-Lover Come Back to Me

This one always makes me want to drop everything and dance.
Dead or Alive - Lover Come Back To Me

This one just makes me smile when I need to:
Today for you Tomorrow for me
