SC Sober Get-together
 

I know I don't know many of you that well yet.. but I think it would be fun to plan a secular connection get-together/retreat. It would last just 2 or 3 days and it would be a great way to get support and we'd all get to meet each other f2f. How cool would that be?! I say, much more fun than an AA meeting! The first thing to do would be to decide where it's gonna be hosted and then when. Would any body else be interested in going besides me?

This could be interesting depending on where it is.

I've got lots of room here and it would certainly be handier for me, but it's true that as soon as I win the lotto I'll be going to visit in Washington! Isn't that so, Phal? But next time I play the lotto you had better all cross your fingers, I didn't have sufficient luck the last time I tried...

I have panic attacks when I have to travel so it would have to be within 5 miles of my house.... I'd love to go to France though if I had to travel somewhere that would be it

If its gonna be during the late summer/early fall then the South isn't a good idea because of the humidity...plus Houston isnt really scenic or anything. Anyone in the NE? I know Phal, vivid, and DK are in the NW.

Oklahoma here. And much fun as it sounds, doubt I'd be able to make it. I spent all my money on dope last year, still trying to pay for it. Meh.

Hey Allport, They have a tunnel under the channel now, that makes France closer to the UK than Texas to Washington...unless you don't want me:c021:

It's humid in Houston in the summer?? Dallas would be good as it is the center of the universe and all

Personally I wouldnt mind going to France at all. lol Europhile here.. Dallas would work out for me too but I think people from outside Texas won't be able to take the searing heat. We would all just be stuck indoors all day.
