I usually end up replacing everything on mine before I give up... My '91 is pushing 200K, but it owes me atleast another hundred g's. LOL, I've never outright totaled a car.

I read online articles from blogs and newsletters about issues that are important to me, like immigration/civil rights, anti war stuff, labor rights and healthcare in 3rd world countries, drug policy, etc. You really can't trust the corporate media to cover REAL news. I have a myspace page too so if you have one PM me and I'll add you to my friend list.

Mainly Facebook, NPR, a few other message boards, and random googling.

I use my computer mainly to better myself, I study and read intellectual essays by the great philosophers.

Thats when I'm not on SR, downloading music or playing games (which is never)

Facebook, news sites from around the world, and a social bulletin board. Also several law student websites where I discuss the LSAT exam.

I also spend some good time every day with SMART Recovery at their website.

Was it Aldous Huxley's definition? An intellectual is someone who has found something more interesting than sex.

*Sigh* There goes my academic career.

As well as here, i do frequent some other forums, mainly geeky ones as i'm into toys - hi-fi, home cinema, surround sound, gaming, etc.

I do a fair bit of online gaming too.

I refuse to get involved with facebook / myspace etc though!

Also i like just generally surfing the net and reading about whatever... Always loved reading encyclopaedias when i was younger, the internet's like a huge one!

Purple cupcakes? What flavor is that? I always have my computer on, I use it like a dictionary or encyclopedia, all of my family lives more than 2 hours drive from me, for most of them I need a plane to get there, so I use windows live messenger and e-mail. Facebook and blogs and all seem a little complicated for me. (I'm like Fubar's wife, computer, and television, OLD, and I don't learn new tricks ! I do have a cell phone though, and I can phone with it, all the other things it can do just impress the kids.)
