Hi Paul, I wish my alcohol relapses consisited of 6 cans of beer!

So, you know you don't want booze, what about the weed?

LOL, and they were 8 oz cans to boot...

The weed is a much tougher choice... the question is; is it an addiction that I want to live with? At the moment, I'm honestly not sure.

I can empathise - my relapses were, at the end of the day, a choice. Just in my case a very bad choice!

Only you can decide if the weed is a problem for you mate.

Either way, you have my support buddy - thanks for being honest and sharing how things are for you.

Hi DK,
I think we've all been there. That was two weeks ago? I guess you're back on the right tracks again then. Keep at it !!!

DK you have been speaking so eloquently lately (apart from the shoe thing) and making so much sense.

I can't believe you can be that cool while smoking, so give it up for us if not for yourself.

Spent a night in a safe room when I was in Nebraska last summer...can't believe I seriously considered moving there.

Meh. I've done that a few times. The first time it seemed kinda traumatic but sooner or later you realize it's just part of life. Live in Phoenix, learn to live with drought. Live in Buffalo, learn to live with snow. Live in OK/ KS/ NE, learn to live with tornadoes.

I'm going to class now, and tornadoes or not, no biggie. The classroom is in the basement.

Northern Oklahoma here. Our tornadoes just passed for the evening, that storm is about to get Tulsa. Now I'm left with lots of water everywhere. And the remnants of the quarter-sized hail.

The view just before I went to class as the storm was approaching. All the fun happened while I was listening to a rather boring lecture in the basement of a building.

Philosophy lecture? Was there actually a tornado?

Haha. Ok, it wasn't that bad. Sequence Stratigraphy, a.k.a. how to look at rocks and figure out what sea level and climate were doing when they were deposited, then how to use that knowledge to make yourself either a) filthy rich in the oil industry, or b) dirt poor in academia. Sadly all we did was babble about some papers we (should have) read before class.

There was no tornado here, but about 20 miles away there was one. *Sigh* Another lost opportunity.

It's true! There are actually free public classes available if you want to become an amateur weather spotter, and I think you can get certification from the NWS? I went to one of the free classes, it was a lot of fun but I don't think I have the necessary adrenaline addiction for that.
