Saturday Secular Meetings

I am going to start a weekly secular meeting here at SR. It will be on Saturdays. To determine what time is best, I would appreciate your input on this poll.

The times in the poll are Eastern Standard, those of you in North America can figure out your time zone by visiting The World Clock - Time Zones - North America

8:00-9:30 is not available as that is when I'm in the SMART Online chat room.

allport 02-22-2009 05:56 AM

What a great idea Alera I will attend whatever time it is. :ghug3

TryingSoHard 02-22-2009 01:32 PM

I voted 5 pm but any of the other night times would be just as accessible for me. Saturday is my only day to work at my part-time job so mornings/early afternoons are out for me personally. Thank you for asking!!

stone 02-22-2009 01:47 PM

It would have to be early for me as I am in the UK, I voted 2.30pm. That would be 7.30pm here.

If it was 5pm there and 10pm here I could do that too. :)

Dee74 02-22-2009 03:09 PM

Sounds like a great idea but I'd probably only stand at the back anyway LOL so I'll see what time it turns out to be :)

I'll try, whatever the time is. But, my OCD makes chat really difficult for me, so I may not be able to hang out long.

allport 02-23-2009 09:41 AM

Dee and DK, try and make it we will miss you if you are not there.:ghug

digderidoo 02-23-2009 03:49 PM

Thanks, great idea. 5pm would be good for me, which would be 10pm UK time. I have my kids on a Saturday who hog the pc's, but they're generally in bed by 10pm.

Zencat 02-24-2009 06:32 PM

Aside from my poor spelling and slow typing I'll give it a go...I voted 5pm but anytime would be good for me. Good looking out Alera http://www.smilieland.com/graphics/35.gif.

stone 02-25-2009 02:31 PM

Saturday March 7th will be our first meeting. I was originally planning on holding it on the first, but due to a leg injury I haven't had time to do the research I'd like to be prepared.

We will be discussing the Cost/Benefit Analysis.

Here is a power point that helps explain what we'll be discussing in the meeting. You don't need the PP program to view it.
SMART CBA Tutorial

Over the next few days I'll be adding more links to the sticky here so make sure to check back!

Ananda 02-27-2009 04:41 AM

I'm exited...just have to figure out for sure what time that is central :)

TryingSoHard 02-27-2009 06:45 AM

One hour earlier. ;)

allport 02-27-2009 07:55 AM

5pm Eastern is 10pm UK time, right?

Ananda 02-27-2009 10:15 AM

allport 02-27-2009 12:10 PM

Don't worry. All you need to bring is a pencil and a piece of paper. No intimidating allowed.

I'm looking forward to the meeting tomorrow!

Just a reminder we will be working on the second half of the CBA today. Same time, same chat room.

Fubarcdn 03-14-2009 11:36 AM

What does CBA mean?

Cost/Benefit Analysis.

Check out the links and bring a pencil and paper!

Fubarcdn 03-14-2009 12:25 PM

Thanks Alera. I read the tutorial and am compiling my list. See you at 5:00.

Fubarcdn 03-21-2009 08:14 AM

I am sorry to see this weeks meeting cancelled as I was looking forward to it.
I just submitted my homework from last week so the notice at least got me to do that. I found both the meeting and the exercise very helpful.
Thanks Alera. :)
