Alright... I paid 77 bucks for a tow and 80 for a diagnosis to find out my battery bit the big one... had 'em replace it plus put on a new alternator belt.. total bill... SQUEAL!!!!

Okay... there is a switch on the steering wheel column, that on my last, very similar Subaru, was the hazard lights. On this model, the button for the hazard lights is on the dash, and this switch turns on the parking lights...

ouch!!! Live and learn. Yesterday cost me a ton of cash too...first my son slipped on some ice causing six hundred dollars of front end damage...dog cost two hundred at the vet and the vacuum went on fire. Oh well...money is overrated anyway!!

Had nothing to do with the car not running, but the first think I noticed when I popped the hood Christmas Eve, is that 2 weeks ago (on the way to my psych eval), when I added oil, I left the oil cap sitting on the spare tire...

Luckily my mechanic is less than 2 miles from my house...my son has torn thru 2 cars in less than 2 years, so much so that he has his own parking spot in the mechanics yard. No wonder I am paying five grand a year for his insurance!

I am sober, and not actually "craving" a drink. I'm off kilter quite a bit, but sometimes I think that just happens.
Not having any problem remembering how bad drinking is. Not having any trouble remembering how good being sober can be.
I hope that I will be able to get on schedule now that the holiday is over. The house is clean but the bills aren't paid...fairly typical of a saturday night.
Not doing what I "should" do, but am doing what I "have" to do.
I need to keep checking in every day to focus on whate I am at today as i go into the next one.

Well.... i took the advise of others and went out with the dogs for a bit. picked up the house....It helped.
I have a headache though so will take a nap shortly and then pay bills....
