DK, any word on the car?

Hi, Alera. :)

I'm waiting until Monday to deal with the car. I hope it isn't something real serious or real expensive. I'm thinking it is something electrical, with the lights refusing to shut down. Hopefully, I'll be able to get someone to look at it on Monday. I'm trying not to worry about it too much... I did just call the station to make sure it was still okay where it's at.

I hope it's simple and inexpensive, too, Paul. You've handled this so well.

I got my electric bill yesterday, and it said I was due to disconnection for 28 bucks. Actually, it said "If you haven't been disconnected..." Problem is, when I paid it my receipt said all was okay and "Do not Call"

So last night I called, the guy on the other end said "Don't worry, you can pay the 20 bucks when the normal bill is due". After thanking him and getting off the phone, I double checked their computer to make sure as we know computers run the world....

All is good...but I can only imagine what could have happened...Christmas without electricity and a fridge full of food due to a mishap on their side would not have been pretty. All over 20 bucks. Crazy world sometimes.

Hey hey :) Still sober over here. I haven't been making meetings like I need to over the last week... since I started working third shift. When I'm not working I'm recovering from the @ss backwards (non)sleep schedule.

I don't like sleeping in the daytime. Never thought I'd say it but I miss waking up at 5am!

doing a little better...although I am NOT at work as I should be...but am cleaning the house...It does get better!

Alera...glad the electricity thing worked out. My gosh, 20$ you wouldn't think you'd get a note like that, especially this time of year!

Caught a ride into Spokane with my neighbor... big snow storm going through.. couldn't get car started.. because of heavy snow, only emergency towing was available.. rode back to Davenport with neighbor in blowing snow.. took 1 1/2 hours to go 25 miles and was hella scary... home safe.. car still sits...

Bummer.

I drove through a blizzard once in upstate New York. It was mind-boggling to see so many vehicles that had gone off the road as I passed by. Pretty hair raising.

Glad you made it home safe, and that your next try is more successful.

It was crazy.. I've never seen so many vehicles in the ditch on one stretch of road...
