Spectacular Connections Check-in Part II
Great, nands, now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head all day.
Bam - let's combine our sleep issues so we can both get reasonable amounts of rest. Lately I've been up till between 1 - 2 a.m. every night (and up at 5:45 to make sure my teenager is up, and again at 7:45 with the little one). This morning I woke up around 4 or 4:30 and sat STRAIGHT UP in bed all of the sudden. I have no idea why. Then, of course, I couldn't really fall back asleep because I knew my alarm would be going off at 5:45. I did that thing where I'd fall asleep and wake up 10 minutes later just to see what time it was. :wtf2 So I got up at 5:45 then went back to sleep until 6:45 then got up and cooked pancakes for my baby - it's his birthday today - and brought him breakfast in bed.

Anyone else still get drinking dreams? I get them every now and then. Weird. I feel awful when i wake up as if i've relapsed, but as i come to and realise i'm sober, and that things are (relatively) ok, it's a nice feeling...
Yep, I do. I had one last week, as a matter of fact. It was weird because usually I remember them as soon as I wake up, but this time I didn't... It was about 3 p.m. and the "memory" suddenly came back to me and I literally STOPPED what I was doing and just stood there for a minute, trying to figure out if it was a dream or if it had really happened. Very odd indeed. I can always "taste" the alcohol in my dreams, too. It's very unsettling.

Good morning all. I Have been hanging out here too much and now I have caught Bam's cold. Thanks Bam.
I have never had a drinking dream. The only dream I had about drinking is a recurring dream that I have where I am drunk and I get lost and get mugged. I had it once since I quit drinking but this time I was sober but I still got mugged. I guess the lesson is I better not get lost either drunk or sober.

If I drink, nothing changes...If I stay sober I learn and change...I HATE going through the stuff...scks...but if you go through it sober today it may not be that bad the next time and eventually things will probably get better (hug)
I try to actually post my threads in relevant forums - LOL - I don't want to just stick everything in "Newcomers" just because. I don't start that many threads anyway. I'll manage.
How are ya, Dee? :ghug3

I sometimes decide not to post in certain places for a time, generally I wander back after a while...
I think for me it is just doing what seems ok and that changes all the time. I do think it benifits me to branch out into different areas of SR at times.
I couldn't believe how much I got out of chat....never thought that would be my thing.

I stay out of there completely. Some of that stuff would make me want to drink. I stick to the newcomers. the daily support, and here. That is enough to keep my pea brain occupied.
It's gotten very ... heated over there recently. Not in a helpful, productive, or supportive way. Just how I see it, though.
I think I'll stay where I feel comfy. Secular has been good to me (thanks, peeps!!!). I like Newcomers but geesh, it's been busy since the first of the year! Hard to keep up.
The Cafe area is fun sometimes, too. I should do chat more.
