S.C. Check-in
How are you doing, Alera? Cold still kickin'?
I myself got walloped with incredible fatigue and a killer headache this afternoon. I passed out on my floor (bed's up against the wall right now). Whatever the crap is in the air better go away soon.
I just f***ed my back up. Gotta go.

I hung out with some school-related friends tonight. There were seven of them and they went through about a bottle of wine each, plus jack n' cokes. I drank root beer and felt conspicuous. I guess it was fun, it was good to see them anyway, but... drunk people are... kinda obnoxious! lol
I think I was "playing on the tracks". It's too bad, though. If it's more than a couple of us together, and it's at someone's house, it's revolving around booze. *sigh* I feel like a freak.

Hello, SS.
ananda, saw your whine in whiners... Hang in there.
Well, I pulled a muscle in my back last night, so no housework for me today. I'm a little peeved because I just want to get this stuff done.
Instead of cleaning, I'm going shopping and I'm going to draw/paint/carve today. I need to get some of that work done, too.
Hello everyone and have a good day.

Ananda, I'm sorry about your house. It sounds so drippy in there!
I had a drunk dream/nightmare last night! It ended with me p!ssing the bed! In my dream, let me repeat, ONLY in my dream.
Oh, I decided to not smoke anymore or to smoke less, whichever. Tired of the sore throat and after a month and a half of regular smoking, I can still take it or leave it! Amazing, huh? Lucky me...

Don't feel defeated. You took action...you didn't just sit there...you took action. One action will lead to another and you don't know where that may lead you. Keep going dk.
Hello to all. Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been working three jobs just to keep my head above water...well, sort of above water. Glub! Glub! Thanks for the shout out...it makes me smile.

Bam, that cold did kick the heck out of me. I finally felt well enough today to bring my laptop up to the bed to stop by and say hi to my friends. Thanks for thinking of me while I was resting up. Sorry to read about your back, but glad that you are taking some time for yourself.
DK, I have a personal experience with the county welfare office. I had to go for a family member who was not well enough to go for herself. I felt like a horrible person by the time I left and I wasn't even the one who was getting the benefits! As much as I believe their are good people in the system, those people were horrible. They made everyone feel the way I did. If there was one word I would use to explain how they made us all feel, it was the word you used "defeated". Please know you aren't alone. I'm also proud of you making the appointment with county mental health.
ananda, so sorry to read about your house. Just keep everything in perspective and remember that if it keeps acting up you can always threaten the house with an exorcism (just kidding-old Catholic humor).
Zendust, thanks for stopping in. I know how busy we all can get when we work, much less three jobs, yet it gives us all hope to see that our comrades in recovery are able to rebuild their lives. Speaking for me, these are some of the posts that make the largest difference in my recovery.
