My SMART Success

I just wanted to share a success I have had recently. I was placed in a situation where I could have used my DOC at obscene amounts. Instead, I went straight to my doctor, let him know the situation, and had it resolved where the pills went into the sewer system.

SMART had given me the tools and I had used them to the point where they had me in the mindset of what to do and I did it, not thinking twice. After devoting all this time to working on it, I had gotten to the place where my mind knew what to do.

For those that don't think Secular recovery can work for them, I want to say I have first hand knowledge that it can and that it does.

YEA, Alera!!! :cheer
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful success story!
I understand what you mean, too. I used a behavioral approach to my quitting smoking. It's now been One year, four months, two weeks, five days, 9 hours, 28 minutes and 48 seconds since I've had a cigarette! That's 20175 cigarettes not smoked, saving $5,547.88. Life saved: 10 weeks, 1 hour, 15 minutes. :approve:

Keep up the great work! We love to hear it! Sharing your story will help the rest of us continue to do the next right thing, even when no one's looking! :wink3:

Shalom!
