This seminar describes CRAFT, a treatment approach to substance abuse that uses the power of the family and their influence on an addict to affect change. The family members are the focus of the treatment, and by helping them learn about enabling behaviors, new ways to communicate & solve problems, they are able to influence the substance abuser’s behavior in such a way that a non-substance using lifestyle is more rewarding than one focused on using alcohol or other drugs.
