2010

Joined in 2010. Did a year hear, a year there sober. But its been 8 years...8!!

Of me fighting day to day. Arguing with the Beast. I look back and I talked about reading the book..about stopping and Big Plans. But no where did I actual make it. Maybe I was lazy, maybe I was tricked, maybe I wasnt ready to face and control the Beast.
Yesterday was the last straw...

I am done.
I do not drink and I will never change my mind.

Congratulations to you, HFA. You might not feel like it right now, but this makes you an honest to goodness BADASS. You have done something that many just don't think is possible, making a choice to quit forever. Well, the truth is that most of us who quit an addiction, do it just as you did. YOU CHOOSE. And having made that choice, you are free, free to get on with the entirety of living a well lived life.

Well done. Onward with your badass self!
