PAWS Nightmare

Hello dear comrades,
I am upandabout from New York. I stopped heroin on 2-3-2021. Had a supply of methadone and used less than a tea spoon a day to taper. My last dose was 8-2-2021.
The problem is the PAWS. Fatigue, can't sleep and those f'in restless legs at night.
Going back is not an option. I am over it, thru, I have done my share.
Has anyone been thru it and can advise me how to deal with this?

Hi upandabout, I had Paws for many months after I quit drinking. It wasn’t at all pleasant, but hang in there…Your body is healing…..however slowly, but healing.

Leep coming here for more stories of encouragement and support.

Hi upandabout - well done on what you have achieved so far that's amazing - I can relate to the restless legs and lack of sleep - Horrible.
Vitamin B12 and 6 are supposed to help plus magnesium. Best of luck with recovery.

Thank you for the encouragement. I thought the first few days was the worse and it was all down hill from there. Was I wrong. I am going to stay the course. Cannot go back into that madness.

Dustyfox. Thank you; that is great advice. Going to GNC to pick that stuff up.

The nightmares in PAWS will lessen. Just takes time . Get that exercise in helps with restless leg syndrome and will also help your mind from over drive during bed time. This has worked for me. Paws will come up but with a healthy schedule it will lessen the amount of stress and depression. I'm not a doctor just from my experience.
