Quitting smoking & drinking..expensive

If I could go back in time, I never would’ve smoked. Nicotine cravings are more intense than alcohol cravings. I got nicotine gum and am starting today.

I hate smelling like cigarettes, incoming skin dryness and wrinkles, hiding my smoking to appear ladylike, gum discoloration that can happen when you smoke for years, having to smoke when drinking, plus now they are super expensive! $11 for a pack. That is crazy.

Smoking is a cancerous luxury.

Quitting this too is long overdue. I hope I can do it using the gum. I started smoking and drinking at the same age. It would a wonderful gift to leave them behind in 2023. I’m nervous as nicotine cravings are fierce and super strong. There’s nothing like it.

I’ll think of the money I save as motivation and getting into better shape. I am scared of the strong cravings though. Big respect for people who quit smoking completely.

Good call peacenow.
A pack of 25s here in Australia is $50 now.

I’ve been to Australia. It’s amazing! but you’d go bankrupt smoking there. I learned people buy cheaper cigarettes abroad before returning. Sad I didn’t get to stay longer or move there. Your society is much better than America’s.
