Quit smoking date: March 1
Well, I will hang around the back door with you, Wisc, if that's okay. We just won't touch the knob. I forgot to get the nicotine gum while I was out and am going to try and order it online. She did call in the Chantix, but now I'm scared of it too, and I sure can't pay 400 a month for it. I'm feeling really determined, that's not a bad start. I find that sitting at my computer is a big trigger so I am making short spurts of it. I haven't quit completely but have cut down a lot. Mainly because I have bronchitis and it hurts to smoke. Crazy how we will suffer for our addictions.
I hope to see you all soon.

I will. I just fell asleep to hours of Alan Carr's videos on youtube. I saw playlists and clicked on the longest, everything from testimonials, tv interviews, readings from his book, etc....maybe law of osmosis? if there is one?
Hi wiscsober. Did Alan Carr seep into your subconscious? My husband listened to it on you tube while he was drifting off to sleep last month. He quit for 5 days and said it was easy. Then he got stressed and smoked. Progress, I suppose. He is a very heavy smoker, so I was quite impressed with the 5 days. He is smoking less now, but I'm not sure if it is from Carr, or fear of the virus and his copd.
Glad to see you peeking it. Your determined and that's a really good start!

I'm AA and the 12 steps helped a lot. I still ask God/HP to remove the desire to smoke. So many people at my homegroup are ex smokers, and just like drinking, they helped me and inspired me. It's just a one day a time approach I'm taking. I started smoking at 15 and quit at 49. If I can do it, you can do it wisc.
