New Beginnings II One Month
Yay made it 1 mos. and not 1 puff.
I have now stopped smoking for 4 weeks, 7 hours, 51 minutes, 51 seconds. That translates into 339 cigarettes NOT smoked, for a savings of $118.98! At 5 minutes per cigarette I have increased my life expectancy by 1 day, 4 hours, 19 minutes, 39 seconds.
I'm glad I didn't get sick while drinking and smoking or because of it. I'm feeling a bit throat pain...some viral probs.
I think this is the longest time I've gone abstaining from all alcohol, nicotine, illicit drugs, abuse of scrips/OTC....the longest in 40+ years

I'm amazed that people can stop smoking and drinking and drugs at the same time
I STARTED smoking in rehab after quitting for nine years. Requit about 120 days sober from alcohol and sedatives.
Keep on keeping on.
NO benefits to any of it.

I think it's 38 days. Got through a upper viral infection without anti-biotics. I think I took extremely well of myself, especially not drinking nor smoking.

Gregory - Free and Healing for One Month, Ten Days, 11 Hours and 6 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 1 Day and 14 Hours, by avoiding the use of 462 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $173.36.

soldiering on...feel an urge...recognize it....that it's fleeting...literally will be gone in seconds...no need to act on it.....it's an empty weightless feeling....take a deep breath put both feet on ground....eat something, say something, sip something, stand up, sit down.....remember This too shall pass....nicotine can not and will not make anything better.

a bit of early morning struggles....read through some relapse stories cut and pasted a few to keep in mind...
I took ONE DRAG off a friends cigarette because I was bored and I wanted to remember what was so great about it.
I simply didn't realize how strong the addiction was
confident that the battle was over that I left my support system behind...
I started bumming smokes from friends. I was going through a stressful divorce and I thought I could just have a quick smoke now and then and be done with it.
When will I learn that I can't ever EVER have just one again?
thinking I had overcome my addiction and that I could have ' just a puff' and no harm would come of it.
because I told myself it will be all right to start again if I quit for a long period.
my junky thinking crept back into my head. I didnt recognize it at first, I figured I had beat this thing down... One won't hurt, It'll make the stress go away.
