Four Months Cigarette/Nicotine Free thanks to Chantix

Quitting with Chantix was easy. I'm four months free of cigarettes and nicotine, and I only used the Chantix for one month. Yes, one drug can free you from another drug.

If you're struggling to quit, I highly recommend Chantix. If you're worried about using Chantix, think of it this way: a month or so on it is well worth a lifetime free of cigarettes and nicotine.

BTW, Chantix is not addictive

Oh, and I know this post probably sounds like an advertisement for Chantix, but it's not. I just know what a struggle it is to quit smoking, and I know that Chantix made it very easy for me to quit.

Peace

You are freaking awesome! I keep screwing up because I get so sick of raging. Starting around day 50 I have been getting hit again. Did you notice that too?

Do you have 50 days? If so keep at it. I had mental cravings the first couple of months, but they usually passed quickly or I used urge surfing to diffuse the cravings. I also force myself to remember how much of a slave I was to cigarettes. I don't want that to happen again. And I take pride in being a non-smoker, that keeps me motivated.

54 days. The slave aspect is huge for me too. I don't think this is about wanting to smoke because I'm so ready for this to be over. I read it can take from 1 to 3 months for the brain to reset. I was a heavy smoker so I just have to be patient.
