24 Hour No Nicotine/No Smoking Club - Part 12
Back in the saddle Stormi, you can do this!
It's been a rough month for me as far as cravings; who would have imagined being so close to a year that the intensity would increase? Flashbacks of wine and cigarettes have plagued my thoughts lately and it's been hard to ignore at times. But I am still here, grateful for 10 months clean and sober, and back for another 24 hours.
Lorax, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, always great food and company!
I hope everyone is resisting temptations during this season of celebrating.

Here for 24 hours - actually 23 of them strung together! I hate the cravings that sneak up on me out of the blue . . . and the craving makes it seem like 1 little puff would be the best thing ever. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! if I can help it.
Keep up the good work everyone.

I am going through a very stressful time and thought a cigarette would help. Had one as I walked to the bus stop this morning . . . it made me nauseous and has taken about 4+ hours until I feel marginally better. UGH - that was stupid!
I'm back at it - no smoking!
I'm back at it - no smoking!
Been there, done that JMF! Even smoking one after 3 days off would literally make me nauseous and light headed. It's fresh enough in my memory to keep me from giving in now when the AV kicks in. Good for you for getting back in the saddle!
Not doing well. Bought a pack back on the 1st and have been smoking 1-3 cigs every day. In all reality, I don't see that ending until the pack is gone... but I'm committed to not buying any more. I'll be back at it soon enough.
I had quit smoking almost 10 years ago, but picked it back up when I went to treatment last spring. Since then I've been back & forth with it. But it's making me feel guilty and like physical crap, which is robbing me of feeling good about sobriety.
I had two cigarettes this morning and my pack was done. No more for me, and I have a giant pack of sunflower seeds to get me through the day.

Good luck Shortstop, it's hard to believe that the habit picks back up so easily after giving in to temptation. Ten years was a good run so hopefully this was just an extended slip that helped you get through early sobriety.
Hang in there JMF, stick with the plan on not buying any more and you'll be back on track in no time. I am nearly 11 months along and still get some strong cravings at times. It's always such a relief waking up the next day knowing that you didn't give in and that the craving has passed.
How's it going Chick Chick? Martina, did you survive your AV? I hope everything has settled down for you both, it will get easier, I promise.
I missed checking in a few days, but still smoke free with my eyes focused on one year.
