Smoking my last cigarette tonight So, I've passed the 9 month mark off of opiates, and now I'm ready to tackle the smokes. My life is amazing these days, and I'm ready. I'm going from about 1/2 pack a day to the nicorette tomorrow. I don't expect this to be as acute of a withdrawal as the opiates, but I expect it to be just as difficult overall, just in different ways. You guys were such a great help when I quit the opiates that I'm back for support with the nicotine. I'll check in tomorrow with how my day goes. |
Congrats on the 9 months off opiates! Wishing you the best of luck and success on the smokes, keep us informed as to your progress. |
I quit cigs this morning... I have been wanting to but always caved. I went the whole day & I'm so proud! How did your first full day go? |
The first day went ok... day 2 not so much... I was kind of on an emotional roller-coaster all evening. Day 3 has been much smoother... I've carried an arsenal of ice-breakers, nicorette, cinnamon toothpicks, and sour patch kids and done rather well today. Day 3 almost over and still going strong! |
11 days in! Holding strong |
Good for you!! |
Awesome! Well done, don't look back:). |
Haven't! I just celebrated 1 year off the opiates on 7/19, and 2 months off the smokes on 7/13. Coming up on 3 months. I definitely feel over the hump now. I still have the occasional craving (mostly that first whiff of second hand smoke, when i'm occasionally exposed... and am like "oh yeah that smells great"), and the occasional temper tantrum |
Well done dragonfire. |
