I heard it said in certain mental health circles that a person who is violent on alcohol and drugs is also violent without being chemically altered.
It seems here that several people here who have admitted to being violent mostly only loose control of their impulses when high or under stress of some kind...
I think CBT is an execellent way of helping people to cope with these tendencies and the 12 steps can also be of help for individuals seeking help. But, there is still too much violence going on in our world obiviously there is not enough people seeking help for this.
