Getting a Sponsor....Working the steps....
Hey Everyone...can someone share w/me how they went about getting a sponsor....This is my 3rd go at AA...my prvious stints didnt include a sponsor or wking the steps...My local AA group system is very strong and I really want to utilize the program today...and in the future....Thanks...X

How to find a sponsor, well the suggestions I got from this website was to find someone with "good" sobriety. That would include time, and their example. This can be a temporary sponsor until you get to know the others better to find the right fit for you. My temporary sponsor became my permanent sponsor, but I would have been ok switching. Most important is to ask for God's direction.

Hi my name is Vic and I am an addict probably dang lucky to be here clean. They say look for someone that has something that you want. I know that I have had my share of sponsors, but I didn't always utilize them the way that I should have. We have to live the program to stay clean that is the only way in which we will survive against all odds.
