Thanks for all of your support. I'm on day 8. I haven't been to a meeting in two days and I'm feeling it. I have to go today.

That thought is EXACTLY what got me through my detox and what I remember if I even have the thought of a drink!

Hugs to you. It does get better. I see you are now on day 12! That is awesome! Keep up the great work!

I also understand I have relapsed several times, dont know if this will help, but seems to be helping me, I went to the Doctor yesterday and she gave me a medication called Campral and so far I havnt drank anything and also helps with withdrawals , there is a thread on here that talks about what it does.

It's great to hear that you're feeling good. Physically? Emotionally?

Keep hanging in there (and don't forget the pain!)

Thanks for all the support. I'm on day 14. I'm going back to work tomorrow and I'm worried about the stress of the job. Already a couple of my coworkers are causing problems.

In situations such as this, I have found having a number of a sober friend and some type of tools (AA/SMART etc) really helped. Grab the phone or grab the tools and get busy when the stress comes on.

You also may want to change the way you drive home if you can.

Stay strong Valeria. Nevermind the coworkers, staying sober is the important thing for you. Nothing matters enough to make you take a drink.

Hi Valeria, this is not my first (or second, or third) relapse - this last one lasted 10 or 11 months, from when I picked up a drink when in the process of finally leaving the father of my children last fall...

I have 36 days today - there are no words to describe how I feel. Sometimes I actually feel human! But a couple weeks ago, I was sure The Fog was never going to lift even tho I wasn't drinking. Thought, well, there it is, there are no more brain cells left.

Meetings are so helpful to me, as they have been in the past. My car seems to want to head to them lately, instead of to the liquor store(s). Group counseling is helping me again too. Fall Down Seven Times, Get Up Eight...

Peace Out
