lol thanks eddie, its a bit warmer now and I and a friend spent this morning sawing up logs so I have heaps of firewood now. Its cold today but the sun is out and its a lovely Sunday, reminds me of the Small Faces; "Lazing on a Sunny Afternoon.." expect its still morning and I am not lazing, well not yet anyway :) Kevin |
I think it's just called "Lazy Sunday" (last song on side one of Ogden's Nut-Gone Flake—lol). But, whatever, I LOVE that song, especially the part about "Howdy, Mrs. Jones, how's your bird's lumbago?" Hilarious. Actually, I love that whole album. I always thought someone should make an animated film for side two, Happiness Stan. Are you familiar with it? Back at Christmas, my brother gave me an album on CD of Stanley Unwin, who did the narration. I haven't really listened to it, though, because my husband couldn't deal with it and I kept forgetting to play it while he wasn't around. Sorry for rambling a bit, but you touched on one of my favorite topics. I realized the other day that I have actually seen half of the Small Faces live. :yup: Yes, I saw Kenny Jones with the Who and I saw Sir Ian McLagan with Billy Bragg. LOL. I just looked up "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" because I couldn't remember who did it. It was Queen. Another wonderful British act that I managed to see before they went to sh*t. lol eddie. I am off to bed soon too, but tomorrow I have taken a day off. Its a day for me, not sure what I will do yet, sleep late and read some of the BB then maybe cut some brush down and then do some laundry and go to a meeting in the evening. Kevin |
