Saying Hello
When I go to a meeting that I have not been to before, I am always amazed at the welcome I get from members there, I quickly feel right at home.
Thats how I felt when I cazme to SR, welcomed and right at home.
When we are posting to newcomers I think its best to post welcoming and encouraging words.
I would have run a mile if I was 'judged' on my first post

Honestly now,
I'd not be cognatively here today were it not for SR. It's Sunday, I'm home alone, the entire day open before me to go over *there. But I'm giving communication with others OUTSIDE the confined safety zone of my own isolated mind a try...if just for today. Maybe then also tomorrow. I'm hearing the importance of focusing on the here and now, in reading so many thoughts from so many minds of so much experience in this process of moving BEYOND compulsive drug use. Graciously grateful for the warm welcoming voices and open minds of all I've discovered here.
Been eagerly anticipating the start of this morning's on-line meeting, was supposed to begin one minute ago. All I get is a gray screen. I'll keep trying to connect. And if that fails I'll come back here and read some more.
