Welcome to SR, Mike. Five weeks is a great start to a new sober life. But you are absolutely right that you need to keep the streak going. Will power doesn't stand a chance against alcoholism, so I strongly recommend a program of recovery. AA is a popular choice because it works. There are also lots of other programs available as well. Congrats on your sober time. I hope to hear more from you. Best wishes on your continued success!

5 weeks sober is amazing! I'm glad you joined us. We are a diverse group of people with lots of experience, strength and hope to share. I am coming up on 90 days sober myself. It does get better all the time. For me, a combination of AA meetings, reading the literature, coming here a little bit most days, and reconnecting to a spiritual outlook each day helps me to stay on track.
