Feeling Lost and Alone
Hello, I am a newcomer to this whole thing and feeling real overwhelmed. I don't really know what to say. I am just tired of my life and feeling the way I feel. I am tired of fighting by myself and i'm tired of running when I lose the strength to fight.
Tra Tra.... welcome! Just remember you never have to feel the way you are feeling every again. There is an answer. You should never have to feel alone or by yourself any more. Tell us your problems and someone is always around to listen.
Hang in there and welcome to SR.

Welcome to SR, TraTra. Glad you're here.
Before I found recovery, I felt alone in a room full of people. Now I know I never, ever have to be or feel alone again. I found recovery in the rooms of AA. How about you?

Not as Lost and Alone?
Thank you all for your warm welcomes. I must say it feels good to just know that you all are out there and understand. Tomorrow will be my first day really sober and i'm scared to death.

Good for you!
Seeing a doctor before stopping is wise.
De toxing alone is dangerous and there are
short term meds to ease withdrawal.
Have you quit before?
Do you have a plan?

(((TraTra))). Lotsa hugs.
How did day one go?
Of course you're tired. Tired of trying to fight this cunning, baffling, powerful disease - alcoholism - alone. Been there, done that.
I hope you're attending AA. I hope you're sharing. I hope you can get to lots of meetings.
It can be done. You can stop drinking. AA has the tools. Pick them up and use them. There are well over two million people around the world who are active AA members.
Courage is fear that has said its prayers.
Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together.
