Hi everyone

This is my first time here. I found this place from another site I frequent for anxiety. Glad to find you all. I dont know what to say other than I need some help with alcohol addiction. I use this as a crutch for my anxiety and panic attacks. Thanks for listening.

Welcome Lin

Have a look about. There are boards for all kinds of things here.
There are many wonderful people who show up and share what they find works for them as well.
Look about, read and ask away. As people show with answers, they reply.

Welcome...

I do hope you are not using anti anxiety meds and
mixing them with alcohol.
Please read the info on the bottle if you are.

Have you tried to quit drinking before?
Do you have a plan?

Please let us know how we can help and we do understand.

Hello Lin. I'm sharon and I'm an Alcohilc. I didn't think I had an alcohol problem till not so normal things began to happen. Like driving up the hwy. the wrong way. Or saying this will be my last drink and I'll go home, but instead stay out till wee hours while my loving family was asleep. Buy a big bottle of wine and can't wait till I get home to open it. Get my supply so I won't run out and back at the store in a few days. Not normal. A car accident, a ride in a police car, and family intervention all let me to AA. They did for me what I couldn't do for myself. Thank goodness and to my HP. For me they told me to treat my alcohilsm first, then tackle anything else afterwards. I did for 14 years then seeked medical advice and help for anxiety. So far so good. Anyway...hopes this helps some. AA friend, Sharon
