Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.
The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.
When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

My Higher Power may not be the same as other people's Higher Power... but these words still resonate within me. I replace "God" with my own Higher Power and it's still just as beautiful to me.
I'm so glad SR is here.
I'm so glad I am found where once I was lost.
I'm aware that vigilance is my key to keeping myself found.

Thank you so much Suga for taking me back to a time in my life I think I was happy. I belonged to a forward thinking church that met in a school gym and we praised God (or a Higher Power) through contemporary music and teachings of lifes problem and solutions in layperson stories. This was one of my favorite songs set to a jazzy beat and I used to sing it at home all the time. I haven't in so many years because we moved from that state and I forgot the words (and didn't bother to look them up on the internet) and I guess I lost my way from there. I'll be singing it loudly today.
