People who achieve longterm sobriety
--make a firm commitment to abstinence,
--make lifestyle changes that enhance that commitment,
--plan and practice for urges and drinking situations.....
Let's talk about these ideas?

There are so many fantastic messages of hope and love here for you. I just wanted to add to them and wish you well. I know what its like and I know the hell you are going through.
Even in sobriety you can hit rock bottom, but its never anything like the rock bottms I used to hit when I was drinking.
blimey did I really say that? Its true though.
Sending you love and hugs and hope and fluffy thoughts
Love Purrddyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

(((((((((Gianna))))))))))) The disease of alcoholism is cunning, baffling and powerful. WHY do we continue to do that which we know will make us so unhappy? I certainly don't know. For me, I think I continued to drink for so many years because each time I truly thought somehow 'this time it will be different.' It never was. Sure, every once in a while I would maintain some semblence of control, but the next time I would be off to the races again. Again, I am only relating what worked for me, and that was removing myself from my environment completely and putting my butt in treatment. I HAD to have the safety and security of the treatment center to get through those first very tough weeks. Since then, I have tried to anything and everything to maintain that sobriety. For me, it was becoming involved in AA, getting a sponsor and working the steps.
What worked for you when you were sober before?
No matter what, know that we are here for you, and with you. We know what you are going through. You are NOT alone......
Hugs--

(((((Gianna))))) I'm walking along side of you as always. I did a nose dive too, but picked myself up right away, they hurt to bad. I'm so tired of being so sick plus all the ugly feelings that come with it all, just like you are. We don't drink we are a lot happier aren't we? I'm done trying to figure out the why's to this too, will keep focusing more on the solution, which means work, and so worth it dear friend, please join us woman.
