A New Beginning

Well here I am. This is the first time I've ever been in recovery. Got addicted to crack one year ago. My llfe has changed forecever. I'm looking for encouraging words from people who know what kind of control crack has over a person. Like it's the Master and you are it's Slave. I'm just starting an intensive outpatient treatment program. No one told me to do this It's my own decision. I hate this way of llife. I don't want to use ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone offering encouraging words or advice would be greatly appreciated. I need all the support I can get.

and welcome to SR

There are many wonderful people on this board willing to help and support you to remain clean.
Admitting you have problem is the first step......
There is a wonderful life beyond drugs and alcohol.....take it one step at a time.
