Day 3
I'm doing it-not a drop for three days.Going to a meeting tonite.physical symtoms were minimal , have been treating night time urges with ice cold cola and cough drops (crazy , but working).Starting to realize what a crappy existance I was having-being sober means having to find stuff to do!!!My wife is drinking her vodka right in front of me morning noon and night as always but oddly thats not bothering me a bit . Having to hang with a grumpy bitchy drunk is- but I AM SOBER!!!And happy to know that I will wake up tommorrow knowing what I did!!!

Congratulations and good job,
For me, my digestive tract was royally screwed up while I was drinking. I'm almost a month sober and I think my intestines are starting to come back into synch, so to speak.
If I were you, and I apologize if I sound like a broken record to those who've read my other posts, I'd go to a doctor ASAP to get a complete check-up (including blood tests for liver dysfunction). My numbers were through the roof, but by stopping drinking I have them back down to about normal. More important is the peace I feel knowing that I dodged a .45 caliber bullet in that I will fully regain my health through abstaining. Your doctor will also be able to help you with a diet to fit your particular problems.
Keep strong, keep posting, and take care.
