Merry Christmas to you also and what a lovely day it is anyday to wake up clean and sober. You know I sent out an email today to everyone including my kids. I asked for only two things this year for Christmas. One to have another day of sobriety, and two was to see my kids. I got the best gift of all another day of sobriety.

Hi Poet, thanks for the tread
I am thankful for SR and the Soberness it has brought me, 32 days sober.
I have so many things to be thankful for, like Lucky I have children, they are not with me today, but I will see them soon.
I can look around with sober eyes, and see the many things I have to be thankful for. It is still up to me to take my gifts and apply them correctly, something I was not doing when I was drinking.
Merry Christmas.

Hi Dead Poet,
Great thread. I'm thankful I am sober and that my life is so full now. Not pain free and not always pleasant, but a full life. When I was drinking I wasn't living at all. Today I can say I am living my life and there is a lot in it that wasn't there before. Some of it is really good and that alone makes sobriety worthwhile and gives me a reason to deal with all the bad stuff. I wasn't dealing with anything before.
