How about leaving the garage unlocked this year? Have you ever tried getting a Quad thru a chimney?

For my inner warrior

Dear Santa,
I want a Smart Parts Ion Pink paintball gun. It's only $324.80. I'm 38 yrs old and I've been a good girl this year. P.S. Please send lots of pink paintballs for me and extra thick padding for my son cuz I'm about to paint his butt for all the piddles on the toilet seat, dirty underwear on the floor, homework horrors, soda cans and candy wrappers strewn about and whining whenever I ask him to do the least little thing. That reminds me, please bring plenty of Co2 to power that baby up!! (OH DARLING, HERE COMES MOMMA!!!!!)

That's a good idea. I could paint my son's butt for a few things, too. Maybe you can dig me up one, too?

A few years? Try 1968. And Santa was a 19 year old drunk.

You sure you live in Philly?

Santa had it coming!

Dear Santa,

Ever since my dear little Mom's funeral 6 years ago Christmas Eve, I've had nothing but sadness on the holidays. I used to love good old-fashioned Christmases, the trips to Grandma's, the decorating, the shopping (although what we bought or received wasn't that important), meals with family, and the holiday music were always near and dear to my heart.

Now I cant even get started. The past few years my addictions kicked in and I just stayed numb through the festivities, but I got through them and looked like I was enjoying myself. This year, in sobriety, I don't know what to do or how to act. Last week, some Christmas song came over the car radio and I had a complete meltdown right there in traffic. Had to pull over and have a good cry.

What can I do? I don't want to hate Christmas forever. I feel numb. Please help. All I want for Christmas is a little of the spirit back.

Your friend,
Michael

Dear Santa,
What is up with these weird ass elves that Discover Card is using in their Christmas ad campaign?

They look like a cross between an elf and an extra-terrestrial.
I think you need to speak with your legal people.
This has to be some kind of infringement on your copyright regarding elves and Christmas.
Regards,
Gabe

I know what you mean, Michael. Christmas has changed a lot over the years for me, too. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother passing on Christmas Eve. It's almost bittersweet, actually. What more beautiful time of year to reflect on her life than Christmas?!

The magic of Christmas seems to have fizzled a bit for me, but this year I have a new outlook. This will be the first clean and sober Christmas for me (and my sweet family) in almost 10 years! It's up to us to make it special, Michael. Time for us to make new memories! Indulge yourself, bake cookies, wrap up fun little gifts for friends and family, send out Christmas cards, decorate your home and light Christmas-scented candles, drink warm apple cider and listen to Christmas carols. watch old Christmas movies on TV. It's okay to cry once in a while. That's just your emotions coming out, and so much of this is new to us, we're not sure how to handle it. Just hang on and keep going one day at a time. You can do it. WE can do it! (And ya got us, too, ya know. We love ya!)

Santa, what's happening now? Are you real busy? I need chocolate .... quick!
