Thanks for sharing Kev. That's why we are all here we need support and need to give support. If you need to write a book that's okay too.. Write whatever you need to and please don't feel guilty about it. We are here for you. And who knows maybe after some time you can return the favor to someone else here. Just know we are here for you.

And I am proud of you for your hours of sobriety that have been hard for you. Did you ever get a hold of an A.A. there? That is the biggest form of support I have found to help. It is great here too.. Don't get me wrong but that one on one with people really helps too..

hi kev and welcome, remember even if you watch the clock just take a minute at a time! it works.

i am sure your story is not that unusual and that often men who work of shore, make up their drinking time when they get home, so sadly you are not alone.

and by coming here you dont have to be alone in your sobriety, there is a big gang here all struggling alongside you, so instead of picking up a drink, tap the keyboard and post!

well...
ain't that what got us started in the first place...
that delicious anticipation...?

but.. the only delicious part is the intitial craving/anticipation.
goes straight downhill after that.

In fact...
I could say that that's all I do when I am lost in using...
just cycle around that remembrance of an amazing anticipation that never goes anyway...
steals from me in fact...
