Got my 9 month chip

Hello all. Been lurking every day, but not posting much lately.

I got the courage to pick up my 9 month chip at a meeting tonight. I didn't get my 7 or 8 month chip, because felt distanced from the program since my fight with my sponsor. Someone came up to me and asked how I did it and if I was working the program. Had to tell him that I haven't done much for about three months besides go to a meeting or two a week.

Feeling like it is time to find that new sponsor. I think I am starting to turn a corner am feeling like my commitment to AA is returning.

Thank God I haven't had to take a drink!

Jup

Wow Jupiter, that is an amazing period of sobriety! I am also SO happy for you that you are feeling like re-committing to the program and getting a new sponsor. Wonderful growth! SO pleased for you!

congratulations that's a long time to go without picking up. I folded at 7 months even with a sponsor and 2-3 meetings per day. Did you have something else in your favor that got you through the dark times?
