Finally

After 30 years I can finally say goodbye to Kevin, John, Les (rest easy brother), Ian (I miss you a lot), Sean and Alan.

From now on when I remember you all, I will remember us as children and not in the midst of hell.

A lot seems to happening to me at present, amazing breakthroughs after some struggling. Suddenly I can feel and remember things from the past in minute detail, even see and smell places and events, which is what promted the outburst above.

Just wanted to share this with you all as you are part of my journey. Thanks

Once again, life is good.

Love Kevin

K,

So happy for you. Just know that sharing these kinds of 'breakthroughs' with us, is soooo inspiring. It gives people like me some hope.
I wish to feel half of what you must feel right now.
thinking of you,
amymarie

Thanks Amy,

Its taken me so long to realise that there is much more going on than whats in the mail today or how much money I have.... There is a whole part of me that has been locked away, while I be a Dad, a businessman ... and then a drunk!

Its taken me only 133 days to really feel whats going on inside and open up to it with tears, laughter and celebration.

Some of the deepest memories are the strongest. When I have deep memory warps, I usually need to go sit down somewhere quiet. If the recall conflicts with a false memory I have...I don't like going to that place in my mind, because it shatters my reality.

The emotional healing phase can last a long while. Learning to accept the good, bad, & indifferent memories with equal measure, isn't always easy.

Yep, but its so good to finally get all that stuff out into the open, I am sure going to keep the door way open.
