Storms/Smell of Rain

I really don't like storms I used to like driving in them when I was high and drunk but now I just don't like them. I do however like the smell of the rain like now and it brings a lot of peace my way after such a very stressful and hard day.

Love Vic

PS The electric went out that is scary

vic - i don't mind the rain, like you. the pitter patter is very soothing and peaceful, but if there is lightning involved - look out! i have a lightning phobia and hide out in my basement when a thunderstorm is approaching.

Hey Vic,

Hope the lights are back on! I grew up in an area where rain was the norm and I still love it. I absolutely storms, they're so exciting!

Love, Anna

I love the smell of rain too. It is a 'clensing' scent and really is relaxing. Keep the candles or flashlights close.

We had a very rare thunder and lightening storm cell move through San Diego today. It was a trip!

Living in the desert I love rain!

Not to go off topic but a Science teacher in my hall was doing a lab experiment in "making the smell of rain"...gotta say it worked but was so nauseating it took me a few months to enjoy the natural scent of rain.

Vic don't fall asleep with a candle lit!!!

I love a good thunderstorm when it rolls in off the lake. Especially at night when I'm in bed. My mother used to tell me thunder was the angels bowling and lighting was a "strike".

Hugs

I live in California and it hasn't rained for a long time where I am. All this talk of smelling it and hearing it on the roof makes me want it here now.

Thanks for this peaceful interlude.

Jup.

The rain is still around a little bit but the storm has gone and man what a beautiful thing when I decided to walk out in it and face my fear, it was lovely. I only have one candle and for some reason it won't stay lit, probably came from Walley-World. Ok I do love the rain!!!!!!!!!

Love Vic

I LOOOOVE the smell of rain, except in FL. In FL it means, "get ready to evacuate....you are about to get whooped up on by a hurricane"

I love a good storm, I live in tornado alley but havent had any good tornadoes lately, we had a good storm last week, was online and looking out window and kabamn lightning hit a tree very close, I jumped about a mile high. I really love spring time when there is a good chance for tornadoes, I am one of those that is out looking for them even when he sirens go off.
