Is this true?

Hello all! I made a road trip this weekend so i had a lot of time to think. I noticed something, that when I try to control things, situations, and people, it usually makes me angry or frustrated when ihave expectations....but when i let whatever just be....its easier to accept. As well as with feelings, if im hungry ill eat, if im tired i should sleep, if im angry i should scream yell and vent...but onlyy if its at myself and not because of things outside of my control, yes?!

Well, I can't seem to find the passage in the Big Book that relates to this. But the answer is YES!! We often find ourselves upset when the ''scene'' we're trying to direct doesn't meet our expectations.

Reminds me of letting go and letting God and live and let live. Just work on the anger part. It does not good at all.

Alot of times, I can find and pinpoint the problem very easily, when I look in the mirror.

I can relate to this as I am working on step 3.

I've come to understand that my life becomes unmanageable when I forget what I'm powerless over and start trying to control the uncontrollable and manage the unmanageable... again.

When that happens and I become clear-thinking enough to recognize it, I work my first three Steps and relief is soon to follow.
