Hi to you all its been awhile since i have made a thread.Things have not been to bad i am still sober and thank god for that because i could,nt have done it without his help.My wife had a terible thing happen to her yesterday. We are seperated for over a year and the house she lives in caught fire because the kids were playing with candles and forgot about them.So i helped her to get to her moms and i felt really bad she didnt want to come home, but deep down i did,nt want her back either.Shes been threw alot of crap with me and the heavey rain we had and lost stuff with the flood and now she lost everything. No insurance for her personal stuff.Last night when i got home i wanted to drink for her doesnt make sense i know. But i thank you all for helping me in the past 8 and a half and i hope to keep it up.So i wish everybody another 24hrs..
Wow that is so tough, Dave. I can just imagine how you feel - and it's not crazy! Just the type of thing I would do/think/do!
Well done for hanging in there, sometimes other's pain is actually more painful than our own, and harder to deal with. LIfe isn't always easy that's for sure, but you know amidst all the seeming madness floods and everything we just have to beleive that the universe and all that's in it is unfolding as it should...not necessarily as we'd like...but as it should!
Sending you and your wife prayers.
Hang in there.
Love

((Dave)) You're in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there. Just remember, drinking won't bring anything back. Being there for your family sober, is more then enough!!
