Holy Cowabunga. It's a FULL Category 5+ with max sustained winds of 175 mph.

Dear God please have mercey on all of your people in the path of this storm.

My Mother & 2 Niece's are in the path of the storm and choice not to evacuate. My oldest Niece lives in Slidell (north of New Orleans) my Mom just so happen to be spending a couple of weeks with her.

Please Please all of you no matter who you pray to pray for New Orleans and my Mom and my 2 favorite girls. They say they are in a very safe place.

Please pray I can't find my sunny side tonight.

This subject touches to close to home.My prayers, to all the victim,s and their family. Remember most material things can be replaced. A soul may be gone from our physical presence,but we will all be together in do time and they will always be in our hearts.

3 hurricane floods, salt water destroys almost everything. The 1st about 12 years ago, floated the pillow's off our bed's.The next went over the steering wheel of my wife's car, no comp insurance! a hard lesson, last year the terrible 4 storms took my mothers and our roof's, neither of us could really afford it.We still live in our little 1950s frame house,,,,,home. ha,la lu,ya 10days or so no oxycontin.

You are in my prayers and thoughts today. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you to wait and worry...(for, really...what else can you do?) Please know, you are in all of our prayers, as is your mother and your two favourite girlies. Janet, please let us know how things work out...I will be praying just as hard as I can until I get word from you.

I'm holding my breath

Still no news on my family. They are in Slidell my niece works for the Police Dept. they were supose to seek shelter in the Police Dept. I am hearing on the news that the water is in the second floor of the Dept. They are calling the Slidell area the Black Hole right now. They say it is devasting in Slidell.

I am keeping my faith. When I went through Hurricane Lili it took 4 days before I was able to call them and let them know I was ok.

I am shaking as I am typing this I have not sleep good in the past 2 nights. Can't quit watching the news.

Thanks for all the prayers for my family.

Let's all keep praying for everyone affected by this storm.

My Good News Today: I am clean & sober.

Please be strong and try to stay calm. I know this is a terrible time for you, and I can't imagine what you must be going through. When you wrote that you were shaking as you typed this, my heart darn near broke in two for you. You are in my heart, darlin', and my prayers.

Right now I am watching a Baton Rouge TV station showing the Coast Guard rescuing people off of roof tops. There has been over 1000 people resuced off of roof tops.
