Hi. I dont even know where to begin. All I know is that I need help. I have been dating a guy for 13 months. He is dependant on pain pills, xanax, & pot. Today he got violent with me. My life is in a big mess. I am going through a divorce, lost my job, & my ex-husband made me claim bankruptcy on my house, car & all credit that I had. I am completely at rock bottom. I am with this guy that I know that I need to get away from & am afraid to lose him because then everything that I ever cared about in my life is gone. I dont know how to pick up the pieces & I feel that I need him because I am so insecure. I truly do love him but everything that he does is killing him & our relationship. There is so much more...

if he got violent with you then you must get out! is there a freind or family you can go stay with? No one is worth losing yourself over, you gotta put yourself first. period.

I am sorry you are in am abusive situation.

I left an abusive husband so I can relate.

The first thing to do is contact a domestic violence group.
Here they are in the front of the phone book.
If not there..call a church...ask about a womans shelter.

You must stay safe. Violence
only esclates. You are wise to want to leave.

Do you have friends or family near?

No matter how broke or insecure or afraid you are...being physically attacked is a huge reason to go.

You have to leave. It's going to be something you don't want to do but you come first. If you don't you are putting yourself in a lot of danger. Things will get better, but they never will if you stay with the bad.....I'm praying for you.
