Hi. i'm new to all of this, having had my last alcohol on 1st June of this year and joined AA. I'm to reflect on Step 2 & 3 of the 12 steps and put down on paper my thoughts on these two steps. It seems basically simple, however I need to elaborate on it and am a bit stuck for articulating my thoughts on paper.

I'm here y'all. Just playing some video games earlier.

Welcome aboard, Bernard!! Steps 2 & 3 huh?

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

Easy stuff even if you don't believe in a traditional God. Just wait 'til you hit #4.

Thanks DanaNicole29 & all of ya. The words of support and welcome has already made feel a bit better. Ya, i do have a sponsor. The requirement to do some writing on Step 2 & 3 was his idea. I must say, having entered aa, i've felt a diffrence and continue to feel so. good wishes to your Mom, lulabel! Midas, it is still tough to believe that it's all so simple, yet i believe very profound
