I am attending regular meetings and trying to get help for my problem.
I have been sober for a whole day today but also did lortab. and xanax and
Methadone .
I didn't want to admit it in the meeting but I did . It is hard because I have pain , I have a back problem from a accident were I am in pain nearly 24 hours a day ....
If anyone wants to share there stories to a new comer like me please do I am 29 years old I have been dranking for 19 years. Hi. I am a Addict sorr my spelling is terrible.

Hey my name is Vic and I am a recovering addict who's choice of drugs was WDYG (what do you got), and I know the nightmares of early recovery I am not that far away but I do know that we can recover togeather. One day is a big deal for any of us, we can not stay clean on yesterday, nor can we stay clean tomorrow cause we are not there, all we have is right now, sh*t two hours ago doesn't matter. As far as the pills, well I have my own opinion on those, I won't take them, I have had two crushed disks in my back for years, and other problems that cause me pain everyday but only if I focus on it. If I keep busy and keep my mind busy I don't dwell on my pain although it is still there. The mind is really funny I think cause If I don't dwell on it, it usually is not that bad.

Hi Broomrider, I'm glad to hear you're going to meetings and told your group what's going on. Have you gone thru detox and rehab? If not you should consider it. They'll give you meds to take the edge off and teach you how to deal with early sobriety. Drinking along with the downs you've been using is a bitch to overcome and medical help in the beginning will get you started right. I think you'll find you can quit drinking if you keep taking pills and vice versa. Quitting both requires help of a professional nature. Good luck and God bless.

Tell the doctor what you just posted. It'll help if, the doc is aware of your problem in finding something to help you for your pain
