Feeling a little better

I'm feeling a little better. I've decided to take some classes at the local community college and get a certificate in Travel and Hospitality. Don't know if it will do me any good, but well see. The area in NC where I used to live has a lot of hotels and is on the beach, so there are some resort opportunities there. It'll take me a year if I go full time, that's what I plan on doing. At the least it'll get me out of the house and give me the chance to meet some people. The biggest problem I have getting a job right now is that my employment record is spotty for the last few years from the problems I've been having. That scares off anywhere I'd really want to work and the "crap" jobs I'm "overquailfied for! Can't freakin win on that one! I'm still working for my parrents in exchange for room and board and they can use the help, so I'll just keep on with that for the time being. Thanks for all the support and positive messages.

Damn...
Now.. those are some positive moves.. ;o)

Blessings on you Ty..

Yeah..
It's hard when the unfinished business from our using tries to keep it's hooks in us..
But.. the hooks get fewer... and they don't go near as deep...
And it gets easier to pull the f'n things out..

You've given my day a lift..
Thanks for sharing your bad... and your good..

Tyler, that sounds like a really good idea. Don't let the thought of a spotty employment record throw you too much. The right job will come along for you. Glad to see you're moving forward.

Love, Anna

That is a good deal Tyler, I think that is a big part in all of our recovery is to stay active and that is what my sponsor tells me is to keep busy. That is not to say that we want to always be doing something all the time but we do need a certain routine that we do everyday. I know that sometimes if I get out of my routine, my day can go to heck in a handbasket but if I do what I do I am usually ok. I am glad that you are getting threw this you helped me to get threw what I went through over a week ago thank you. Have a great day.

Sounds like a great plan, Tyler!!!
What part of NC? I'm headed that way for a visit sometime this summer.
Oh, and my sister is in Naples, FL. She got her T and H liscense too, and is selling condos on Marco Island right now. She LOVES it!
I wish you as much happiness as she is having right now....
(oh, and these positive moves? well, guess what? They say that you DO care about yourself. So....about that gratitude journal?????.....hmmmm..... )
Shalom!
