Wednesday Evening
SECULAR RECOVERY MEETING
Alternative Recovery Meeting, utilizing the "Three-S" Philosophy.
Sobriety, Secularity, and Self-Help.
5pm Pacific / 6pm Mtn. / 7pm Central / 8pm Eastern

What?

What do you mean by "secular"-the traditional sense as in no God involved? I've never heard of an alternative recovery group or meeting (whatever) although I'm interested. What is it?

That would be correct. I think this is the easiest way to describe it...
Out of respect for people of all faiths and none, we conduct our meetings
in a secular way, which means that, during this hour, we do not use prayer
or talk about religion. We rely in our recovery on our own efforts and on
the help of the group members and other friends.

It is a non-12step approach to recovery. Again, not anti-12step, just another option. There are a number of secular recovery programs, and this meeting is just kinda a mix of them. Hope to see you next week.
