LOL, do you ever feel like life just drains your energy and you're just too tired to go workout?

I jumped back onto my low carb weight loss plan - I need to dump 15 to 20 pounds too. I thought that when I quit drinking the weight would just slide off - Ha Ha - righto.

This weather is horrible here...so rainy and dreary. I think I'll stay in today where it is warm and dry.

It's ok to be lazy sometimes, LOL. After all the running around we do, sometimes we just have to let ourselves rest.

i just watched the Dr. Phill episode about rehabs. I'm not convinced. Can anyone tell me about whether it is possible to get sober without a detox center?

There is a car chase on all of the local channels now....guess I won't be seeing any of it. (I might have missed Dr. Phil already...not sure when it is on)

Yes it is possible to get sober without a detox center. It is not something that can be done alone, though. It is very important to have support and a Higher Power. I went to rehab 4 times, but wasn't ready any of those times. Last year, when I WAS READY, I got my recovery in AA. One day at a time. I'm not saying that detox and rehab aren't good places, they are just not neccessary. I know several people in recovery who never went to either and have years clean. How bad do you want to stay sober and what are you willing to do to get recovery, those are the questions.

Heidi, SC: my neck of the woods.
hehe

I saw Dr. Phil today talking about rehabs. That guy from the Backstreet Boys was on there talking about his recovery.

Dr. Phil is trying to dig into the aspects of recovery or so it seems so in the past season of his show.
