Is anyone out there right now?

I think I just hit rock bottom. I thought I did before but this has to be it. I need to talk to someone that understands. Nobody understands what I'm going through. My life is ruined. I don't have anything to live for. I hope somebody will reply or something or even pm me, drinking is slowly taking away everything i care about and it's so bad i don't know if i care anymore.

This is rock bottom. I hope I don't wake up in the morining. Why did this happen?

Ready to Change 04-20-2005 12:44 AM

I know I'm not the only one to go through this

So why does it feel like I'm the only one? I have nobody I can turn to thaat understands. This just sucks.

I would call but my cell phone battery is dead.

Want to tell me a little more? What are you dealing with?

CarolD 04-20-2005 01:15 AM

Hello

Ready...Welcome to SR.

I just saw your post and do understand. Sorry you are having problems with alcohol.

The way you are now is where my drinking used to take me.

That deep dark cold hopeless feeling was my companion.

Have you considered trying to quit? It is possible and there is hope for you too. You are not alone..millions of us have quit and found a better sober life.

May you find your answers and peace...

CarolD 04-20-2005 01:28 AM

I did

get off line so I could call. It rang 4 times and then I got a busy signal.

Hope this means you are trying to sleep and not wanting to talk.

Please check in with an update.. you will find support and caring here.

Hi Ready

I PM'd you about an hour ago, but you've gone offline and I have to go to work now (UK time).

Evanna 04-20-2005 03:53 AM

You can call the AA helpline in your area too. Here in the UK they will send some recovering alcoholics to meet you, talk with you and take you to a meeting. I guess that must be the same the world over?

Hello Ready for Change--I am sorry I missed you last night, but since I quit drinking and drugging, I am rarely up that late. I hear your pain and misery. Please know that you are not alone. Many, many of us have been there before, myself included. I never believed I could make a change, that life could be good again. However, slowly but surely, my life has become better than I ever imagined it could be. I hope you will come back and let us know how you are doing. We are all here for you!

Hugs--

remember suicide is a long term answer to a short term problem

Your in my prayers, right now is actually a blessing because you`ve finally gotten to the point of asking for help, you`ve had a moment of clarity, realizing your powerless over alcohol means your life is just beggining, not the end. It means the sufferings over, know you must act fast!
Without help it is too much for us. But there is One who has all power-that One is God. May you find him now!
Half measures availed us nothing. We stood at the turning point. We asked His protection and care with complete abandon.

P.S. god loves you and so does everyone else, we can relate because weve come to the same fork in the road, the important thing to know is that your never alone again, there`s god and someone is always a keystroke away, or at your local 12 step group, do yourself a favor and keep reachin out, the deal is that people want to help you because someone helped them, we keep what we have by giving it away. By the grace of god it`s nothing iv`e done.

Hi Ready,

I've felt the same way, but am feeling much better after only around 70 days. Please let us know how you are and post. As you can see, many people do care and many of us have been where you are. Let us know how you are, please.

Jup.
